The article Critical Thinking and Technology was interesting
for me because mentioned why technology influence the critical skill of students.
Something that caught my attention was that the article mentioned about why
people wants to learn, that people usually learned different thing unconscionably
while they are growing up and that people usually learn as their necessities,
for example what they are interested at is what they need to know to solve
problems that concerns them at the moment. The article mentioned what
preferences the students have at the time of learning, that some students learn
easily by taking a class in which they can have a visual material like pictures,
diagrams, files or demonstration and on the other hand that some students
prefer auditory classes in which them can have written words, notations and speeches.
Something that I want to remember form the article is
that people love diversity and that if we as teachers can provide that
diversity to our classes that will get interested in learn the language no
matter which personality students may have, also something that make me want to
read more about was that we most as teachers help our students to feel
comfortable and believe in their capacities that they can learn about any topic
and explore their curiosity and based on that curiosity give them reasons to
feel motivated to learn what we are teaching them, I think that real challenge
is to make them feel motivated about our class and for that we can support our ideas
for teaching using technology or any other resource that make our class different
and show that diversity which make students feel motivated to learn.
I really consider interesting your comment veronica, I share the same opinion that yours. Something that surprised me was about why or how people want to learn, while they are growing, they are acquired the necessity to solve trouble. Moreover, I think that in the process of learning the teacher is like a guider for the students, because they motivate or create the critical thinking to learn. Students become aware about their interests or they develop the ability to have different thoughts about problems. Furthermore, I like that the reading mentions the different preferences that students have. As you said learners can learn using different tools as; diagrams, presentations of power point, pictures etc. To conclude, students are also motivated by using technology. Learning by using this tool is a challenge for them and it makes them to get the critical thinking.
ResponderBorrarI agree with you, Veronica when you mentioned that there are different kind of personalities and that each student learns differently. Also we have to encourage our students to keep motivated and continue with their studies because we are like their second home, they spend most of their time at school, and so they need to feel that we believe in their capacities even though one students may not learn as fast as others.
ResponderBorrarSomething that was not clear enough was when you mention about if we as teachers can provide diversity, what exactly do you refer to by diversity because that is a complex word?
